PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

Welcome to another interesting year for the Maryland Art League. Mary Ellen and I are anxious to see all of you again after a busy and hopefully, productive summer break.

This should be a good year with many shows and opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with many talented fellow artists.

We plan lots of interaction this year, so please be ready to share any new ideas for your medium, any new art toys and accomplishments.

Looking ahead… in addition to Irvine, The Carroll County Community College show in November also wants fall themes. So think up some way to “bring some zing” to the pumpkins and leaves and “show your stuff.”

See you on the 21st. Screening is early and there will be a modest hospitality table. We’re looking for volunteers for that position. We’ll talk!

WEBMASTER UPDATE:

As you will recall, we received a grant to pay Jamie Sheedy to update the galleries on our website. She asked members who would like their works photographed to contact her.

She took pictures for some half-dozen artists. She has delivered some of them to me to format as a gallery; others are still being processed. I have also received images from some members to update their galleries, as well as corrections to existing pages. All corrections should be completed by the time you read this. I will work on the updates when I get back from vacation at the end of September..

Please send me an email  at biblum@verizon.net to correct any errors or omissions or to update what is already on the website. Once the summer is over and Jamie has completed her job, I promise to be more timely.
