NEXT MEETING: April 20th

Program:

Join Pat Hellman for a talk on Digital Photography. Her Adobe Director presentation will cover basic equipment, software and techniques for capturing, saving and editing digital images. Tips on how to take better pictures and the use of basic editing software for correction and enhancement purposes will be included. Pat's Digital Photography presentation is an informative tool for artists to take better pictures as well as store and present their work digitally.

Pat holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art. She has applied digital technology into her artwork since the late 1990's. Her portfolio includes images shot around the world from Asia, North America, South America as well as locally. She currently shoots her photos on the award winning Nikon D300.

NOTE: Linda Brauer is looking for speakers or suggestions for potential speakers.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

A short president’s letter.

As you can see from the list of new members, this has been a very successful year for the Maryland Art League.  There are a lot of accomplishments, and many participants to be thanked.  Yet, rather than naming names, I’ll just point out that an organization can only be as good as the members who work for it.  We hope to involve all the new members before we break for summer, and I am confident that next year will be even better.

Don’t forget, our final screening of the season this month.  I look forward to seeing the work of all our old and new members.
